YOUR WEEKLY MONEY DILEMMA

Please help! I feel like I'm going around in circles with money. I never seem to be able to save anything and am constantly feeling the pinch but don't know how to change. What do I do...

Ok, the very good thing here is that you have reached out for help. Asking for help, when money can feel like such a taboo can often be the hardest but most important first step.

So much of our behaviour is linked to what I can a ‘Money Memoir’ - it's your thoughts feelings, behaviour and habits with money. Figure out where yours is coming from. Dig deep and ask yourself tough questions. Are you spending to try and get rid of an emotion?  Maybe it's linked to something that happened when you were young? Or because your boss is an a$$, and you want to treat yourself for not exploding at them in a meeting? Figure out what’s driving the behaviour, you can never out-earn your belief system so telling yourself you will get a promotion and your problems will fall away is rarely a successful strategy.

Some actions to get you started:

✔️ Go back and look at the last 2 weeks of spending. Against every amount spent that wasn’t a bill ask yourself: If I could go back in time, would I buy it again?

✔️ If overspending is a serious problem, consider taking out cash for spending money for the next 7 days. Science tells us it literally hurts our brains when we hand over cold hard cashola.

✔️ You could join our Money Mindset Challenge next week, I am going to unpack all of this and more around levelling up your actions with money which sounds like it could be helpful for you!

I have helped so many people improve their feelings around money, so I promise you... you can do it! You just need to do the deep work, figure out what needs to change and commit to it. Imagine where you could be in 12 months if you do?! ✨
