Ok, the very good thing here is that you have reached out for help. Asking for help, when money can feel like such a taboo can often be the hardest but most important first step. Â
So much of our behaviour is linked to what I can a âMoney Memoirâ - it's your thoughts feelings, behaviour and habits with money. Figure out where yours is coming from. Dig deep and ask yourself tough questions. Are you spending to try and get rid of an emotion?  Maybe it's linked to something that happened when you were young? Or because your boss is an a$$, and you want to treat yourself for not exploding at them in a meeting? Figure out whatâs driving the behaviour, you can never out-earn your belief system so telling yourself you will get a promotion and your problems will fall away is rarely a successful strategy.Â
 Some actions to get you started:Â
 âď¸ Go back and look at the last 2 weeks of spending. Against every amount spent that wasnât a bill ask yourself: If I could go back in time, would I buy it again?Â
 âď¸ If overspending is a serious problem, consider taking out cash for spending money for the next 7 days. Science tells us it literally hurts our brains when we hand over cold hard cashola.Â
