YOUR WEEKLY MONEY DILEMMA

Hi, I am embarrassed to write this but I heard you on a podcast recently and it struck a cord, I have been earning a good salary for years - and I feel like I have nothing to show for it.

I have $15k in savings and thats it.

I'm 42yrs, single, live alone and earn $165k + super, so I know I should have more than what i have but it never seems to happen.

Sound familiar? It’s time to flip the script. Whether you’re single or coupled up, a money date is the perfect way to start.

All The Singles Ladies (and everyone else who’s single): Love yourself enough to check in on your future

You don’t need a partner to have a meaningful money date -you just need you (tick!). Pour a glass of wine (or tea), light a candle and sit down with your money. Look at your bank accounts, check your spending, and set some goals. A little intentionality now = a more empowered future you.

đź’ˇ Questions to ask yourself:

- What does my current behaviour with money tell me about how I think about money?

- Where is my money actually going each month?

- Do I like what I see, or do I want to shift things?

- What’s one small money habit I can improve this month?

- Who is my bad b*tch alter-ego with money? How do they show up? What do they do to make.it.happen? Then be them.

For the Coupled-Up Folk: Money is a Love Language

Talking about money with a partner isn’t always easy, but avoiding it doesn’t make it go away (it actually makes it more conflictful!).

A regular money date (with no shame or blame) helps build trust, reduce financial stress, and get on the same page about what really matters.

đź’ˇ Questions to ask each other:

- What’s one money thing you wish you learned more about growing up?

- What’s one money habit I have that you appreciate?

- How do you feel about the way we currently manage money?

- What’s one shared financial goal we can work towards together?

No matter your relationship status, showing up for your money = showing up for your future. So why not start with a date?
